What we store
Your quit plan, counts, streaks, craving logs, trigger reasons, savings, and check-ins. If you add one, your “why” photo. If you create an account, your email. If you message buddies or supporters, those messages. Notification preferences stay on your device.
Anonymous first
You can use the whole app without signing up — your data starts on your device. You only create an account (email or Sign in with Apple) when you choose to back up or link with someone.
What others can see
Supporters and buddies see only what you choose to share, and you can pause or remove anyone at any time — silently. Conversations are private to their participants. We never show a supporter more than you shared.
Photos and messages
Your “why” photo is stored privately (owner-only, plus anyone you explicitly link as a viewer) and is never used for anything else. Messages are stored so you and the other participant can read your conversation; they aren’t used for advertising.
We don’t sell your data
We don’t sell your personal data or your photos, and we don’t share your health data with advertisers. We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how features are used.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from Profile at any time. This removes your account and your personal data — including your stored photo — and signs you out everywhere. Some shared records (like a conversation the other person also has) are cleaned up as part of deletion.
